The installation of a 306kW photovoltaic array on the Field School roof, which started at the beginning of 2020, has finally been activated.
This project is anticipated to save the town approximately $30,000 in annual electricity costs, about $598,000 over its 20-year duration. Simultaneously, Weston’s carbon footprint will be reduced by 5,100 tons of CO2, the equivalent emissions of 1,083 passenger vehicles driven for one year.
