Stormwater Permitting Authority

The Stormwater Permitting Authority (SWPA) is responsible for administering, implementing, and enforcing Weston's Stormwater and Erosion Control By-law. Additionally, SWPA is also responsible for managing Weston's Small MS4 General Permit.

The purpose of the Stormwater By-law is to ensure that new development, redevelopment, and certain land disturbance activities do not increase stormwater runoff. The MS4 Permit ensures Weston is being responsible for the quality of the stormwater discharges that enter inland and coastal waters.
